The year 2025 was a period of significant changes, investments, and dedicated work at Mlýn Kozlovice. Some of the improvements were immediately visible, while others remain hidden from our guests’ eyes. Yet those behind-the-scenes changes are essential for the long-term stability, functionality, and future of the entire complex.
A Year of Gatherings, Experiences, and Atmosphere
In 2025, Mlýn Kozlovice continued to be a place where people meet, celebrate, and spend time together.
Throughout the year, we hosted weddings, family celebrations, corporate meetings, and private events. Their smooth organization was overseen by our Accommodation & Events Manager Eliška, who supported guests from the first contact all the way to the event itself.
Gastronomy also played an important role. Under the leadership of Restaurant Manager Petra, we organized a number of themed culinary events, including St. Martin’s Feast, schnitzel weekends, game specialties, summer grilling, and smokehouse events. Each of these occasions had its own atmosphere and gave guests another reason to return.

As part of the development of the area, we also expanded our accommodation and increased the number of beds. Thanks to this, we were able to welcome more guests who stayed with us longer. For families with children, we built and opened a new playground, which quickly became a favorite spot for our youngest visitors.

Guests staying overnight could also enjoy evenings by the fire and the peaceful atmosphere of a place that offers true relaxation. These moments—when people slow down and spend time together—are among the most meaningful experiences we strive to create.
What Happened Behind the Scenes
Alongside the visible changes, many technically demanding projects took place in 2025—work that is essential for the long-term operation of Mlýn Kozlovice.
One of the largest projects was the construction of a stone gate and a new bridge. After flooding, we implemented a new regulation of the watercourse at our own expense and built deep foundations with a concrete beam. This demanding project involved the construction division of ISMM & TESO, Mr. Randula, and Mr. Patrik Hořava, who created the stone gate.

At the end of the complex, another new bridge was built, this time closer to the village of Kozlovice than the original one. At the same time, extensive adjustments were made around the stream, including widening the riverbed and reinforcing the banks. Nearly 300 meters of protective foil were installed throughout the area to stabilize the terrain and protect the ground during water-related work.
Behind the main building, new custom-made wooden channels were installed. The work also included repairs to the millrace and the creation of a new mill wheel. The new wheel is slightly smaller than the original so that everything functions smoothly and without unwanted friction.
Near the mill wheel, a blacksmith sculpture of a water sprite was added, created by artistic blacksmith Mr. Rybička. This detail connects the technical part of the mill with traditional craftsmanship and a playful artistic element that has quickly found its place.
As part of the ongoing improvements to the area, construction of a new fence also began, along with other projects focused on improving the safety and comfort of our guests.

A Year Built on Strong Foundations
The year 2025 showed that the development of Mlýn Kozlovice is not based on one-time changes, but on long-term care, investments, and the dedicated work of many people. Every detail—whether visible or hidden—has its place and purpose.
We would like to thank all our guests, partners, and the many people behind the scenes who were part of this year. Thanks to you, Mlýn Kozlovice continues to be a place of meeting, peace, and joy.
We look forward to everything the coming year will bring. 💛
